The German tuning company G-Power unveils their latest update to the BMW M3 Tornado. Back in May, the tuner introduced a 635 horsepower version of the limited-edition BMW M3 GTS.
Now, the company follows up with another major power upgrade. The BMW M3 Tornado RS outputs 720 horsepower, turning it into one of the most powerful M3s ever created.
M3 Tornado RS comes equipped with a titanium exhaust system featuring free-flowing 100 cpsi metallic catalytic converters, resulting new performance figures from all these modifications: impressive 720 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. The car features the G Power SK III “Sporty Drive” Supercharger System, which increases the V8′s displacement by 15 percent, from 4.0 to 4.6-litres due to the modified crankshaft, a custom cooling system that helps keep temperature at optimum levels, and acarbon fiber airbox which is 4 kg lighter than the
With the significant power upgrade, the G Power M3 Tornado RS runs 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.7 seconds, and from 0 to 200 Km/h (124 mph) in 9.7 seconds. Top speed is clocked at 330 Km/h.
G-Power to give the BMW M3 GTS over 600 horsepower
Press Release: The BMW M3 GTS seams to have all it takes for being the ultimate BMW M3: lightweight body parts, carbon aerodynamic parts, titanium exhaust, racing suspension, roll cage and racing bucket seats for six-point seatbelts. BMW is right when they call it an “extreme athlete for street and racetrack”.
But there is one thing it is missing. The ultimate output. An additional 30 hp compared to the standard BMW M3, that costs just half the price of the M3 GTS, is not too bad, but the ultimate output for the M3 GTS can only be provided by G-POWER.
That is why the first couple of BMW M3 GTS, out of the limited edition of 220 unites, have started to arrive at G-POWER for their output enhancement. A specially adapted version of G-POWER’s SK II CS supercharger system pushes the factory output of 450hp to a more suitable 6XXhp.
After this modification the BMW M3 GTS can finally show the armada of Porsche 911 GT3 RS who’s the boss at the various clubsport racing events.
Right now the first of the announced BMW M3 GTS has just arrived at G-POWER. Two more are already on their way. So a little piece of advice for the “competitors” of the G-POWER trained BMW M3 GTS: prepare yourself for a rough rid.
G-Power BMW X5 Typhoon Facelift
German aftermarket company G-Power reveals their latest update to their BMW X5 model. The new G-Power X5 Typhoon takes the output of the xDrive48i model to 525 horsepower . The 2011 BMW X5 xDrive48i is powered by a 4.8 liter V8 engine and it receives the SK III “Sporty Drive” supercharger system, producing 525 hp / 386 kW at 6,100 rpm and 600 Nm of torque at 5,300 rpm.
The ASA T1- 522 charger uses a radial centrifugal clutch, which is flanged to the engine through a CNC-milled framework structure. The X5′s supercharger is powered by a crankshaft via the multi-rib belt, and is lubricated through the engine’s oil circulation system. It boosts a pressure of 0.5 bar. TWith this impressive power increase, the G-Power 2011 X5 xDrive48i is able to reach a top speed of 275 km/h and needs only 4.7 seconds to run from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h).
The G-Power 2011 BMW X5 xDrive48i also features a two-part carbon intake air duct, a large-volume aluminum charge air cooling system, and a high-performance exhaust system including racing headers, catalysts and end mufflers.
On the design side, the TYPHOON body kit consists of new and very aggressive bumpers front and back, massive wheel arch extensions and LEDs at the front. Custom side skirts have also been fitted. The ventilated bonnet made of carbon fiber enhances the aggressive look.
